FICAIJ en GIFFONI FILM FESTIVAL

FICAIJ 

(FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE 
AUDIOVISUAL INFANTIL Y JUVENIL) 
Mérida, Venezuela 

FICAIJ viajó a Campania, Italia, para celebrar la 42°edición del Giffoni Film Festival, importante espacio internacional del Cine para la Infancia y la Juventud, al que además se dieron cita Instituciones Educativas y Festivales del Cine Infantil y Juvenil de más de 50 países del mundo, entre ellos FICAIJ, de Venezuela. 



En esta oportunidad, el reconocido Festival italiano fue celebrado entre los días 14 y 24 de julio del año en curso. Participaron en él más de 3000 niños y jóvenes jurados, y contó con la participación de reconocidas figuras del Cine, entre ellas Nicolas Cage, Jessica Alba y Jean Reno. 

FICAIJ se encontró además con los organizadores del Giffoni para intercambiar experiencias, ideas y conversar temas relacionados con el intercambio entre ambos Festivales. 

La comisión del FICAIJ fue a Italia representando a Venezuela que, por primera vez estuvo presente en Giffoni, uno de los espacios mundialmente más importantes del Cine y el Audiovisual para la Infancia y la Juventud. La comisión estuvo conformada por Carlos Céspedes, presidente del Festival, como Jurado en la categoría +18, Giovanna Mangieri (14), Jurado en la categoría +13, y Markian Kazandjian (16), Jurado en la categoría +16.

FICAIJ at the Giffoni Film Festival:

FICAIJ traveled all the way to Campania, Italy, in order to celebrate the 42th edition of the Giffoni Film Festival, which is an international environment for children and youth. Furthermore, this was a festival where many educational institutions and festivals got to get together including FICAIJ from Venezuela.

This time the re-known Italian festival took place this year from july 14 to the 24th. Where over 3000 children were involved as well as a young jury and some very important film celebrities such as Nicolas Cage, Jessica Alba and Jean Reno.

FICAIJ had an actual meeting with Giffoni's planners in order to exchange ideas, experiences and to talk about different subjects regarding some possible exchanges between both festivals. 

FICAIJ's comission went to Italy as a Venezuelan representation, this was their first time in Giffoni, one of the most important audio-visual and film scenarios for children and youth in the whole world. This comission was formed with Carlos Céspedes, which is the president of FICAIJ and a +18 category jury, Giovanna Mangieri (14) which was a +13 category jury and Markian Kazandjian (16), a jury for the +16 category.
