¿Qué nos trae el III FICAIJ?

FICAIJ ha venido consolidándose a nivel nacional e internacional como plataforma del cine y el audiovisual para y por niños y jóvenes. Su premisa apunta a incentivar la formación cinematográfica y audiovisual desde las edades más tempranas, acercando a niños y jóvenes a un cine diverso al que de otra forma no tendrían acceso.

FICAIJ busca promover el reconocimiento cultural a través del audiovisual con el fin de que aprendamos como ciudadanos a acercarnos al otro desde el respeto a la diversidad y el diálogo intercultural.

¡Se acerca el III FICAIJ!

La tercera edición del FICAIJ (Festival Internacional de Cine y Audiovisual Infantil y Juvenil) se realizará en Mérida, Venezuela, ciudad que se vestirá nuevamente de gala para recibir cortos y largometrajes de diversos países del mundo. El III FICAIJ se realizará entre el 19 y 24 de mayo de 2013 y todas sus actividades serán completamente gratuitas. El Multicine Las Tapias será la sede del FICAIJ y recibirá invitados regionales, nacionales e internacionales dedicados a las áreas de la Educación para los Medios, el Cine Infantil y Juvenil, entre varias otras. El Colegio La Salle presentará la muestra de cine infantil argentino preparada por la Filmoteca Mar de Plata, en Argentina.

Junto a los invitados, niños y jóvenes participarán como miembros del jurado infantil y juvenil, visualizarán filmes, discutirán sobre cine y realizarán diversas actividades planteadas con el fin de asegurar su enriquecimiento cultural.

Como parte del Jurado Adulto del III FICAIJ y miembros ponentes del I Encuentro Internacional de Formación Audiovisual, contaremos con la participación de Bhima Gandica (Empresa Productora Primeras Voces, Mérida, Venezuela); Francisco Blanco (ININCO-UCV, Caracas, Venezuela); Maite Galán, (Fundación Visor, Caracas, Venezuela); Pily Galán (Fundación Visor, Caracas, Venezuela); José Barceló (Festival de Cine Infantil de Ciudad Guayana, Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela); Luis Cerasa (Festival Nacional de Cortometrajes Clemente de La Cerda, Anaco, Venezuela); Rita Elena Ávila (Festival de Cortometrajes Manuel Trujillo Durán, Maracaibo, Venezuela); Soledad López (Escuela de Medios Audiovisuales-ULA, Mérida, Venezuela); Yluhibeth Ortiz (Festival de Cine Vídeo en Secuencia, Maturín, Venezuela); Laura Antillano (Encuentro con la literatura y el audiovisual para niños y jóvenes, Valencia, Venezuela); Aníbal Arteaga (Encuentro con la literatura y el audiovisual para niños y jóvenes, Valencia, Venezuela); Benjamín Francis (Afrikan Cradle International Film Festival, Johannesburgo, Sudáfrica); Pablo Ramos (Universo Audiovisual del Niño Latinoamericano, La Habana, Cuba); Carlos Gil (Filmoteca Mar de Plata, Mar de Plata, Argentina); Daniela Gracindo (Festival Internacional Pequeno Cineasta, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil).

Kaori Flores (Cinescope, Mérida, Venezuela); y Adriana López (Escuela de Medios Audiovisuales-ULA, Mérida, Venezuela) se unirán al grupo de ponentes del Encuentro. Contaremos además con la participación de 3 chicos que conformarán el Jurado Universitario: Claudia Rosales (Mérida, Venezuela), Sergio Pellín (Barquisimeto, Venezuela) y Wulliams Castellano (Caracas, Venezuela). Invitación:

Al FICAIJ podrán asistir niños y jóvenes de Instituciones Educativas del Estado Mérida, organizados en comisiones junto con sus profesores, representantes, directivos y/o demás personal administrativo y de mantenimiento. 

Invitamos también a estudiantes y profesores universitarios dedicados al área de la enseñanza artística, lingüística y pedagógica (Y a cualquier otra Institución interesada) Invitamos al público general interesado en participar y ser parte de nuestras actividades. Invitamos a los medios de comunicación interesados en cubrir el Festival.

Sub-sede Fundación Cinemateca Nacional:

Este año se unirá además al FICAIJ, una sub-sede (Museo Bellas Artes) en Caracas, de la que estará a cargo la Fundación Cinemateca Nacional de la Plataforma del Cine y el Audiovisual en Venezuela. De esta manera, niños y jóvenes de la capital del país podrán acceder a una programación especial del Festival.

FICAIJ has become a national and international film and audiovisual platform, from and for children and youth. Its main goal is to stimulate children and young people to be educated in audiovisual and cinematographic fields since a short age, in order to bring them closer to a diverse cinema world; a world which they could not be in touch with by other means. 

FICAIJ is looking forward to promote cultural appreciation through audiovisual material. It seeks for us -society members- to learn how to get closer as citizens, with respect for diversity and intercultural dialogue. 


The 3rd FICAIJ is coming! 


The third edition of FICAIJ (International Film Festival for Children and Youth) will take place in Mérida, Venezuela. This city is getting ready again to receive short and feature films from different countries around the world. The 3rd FICAIJ will take place from May 19th to 24th 2013, and its activities will be completely free. Multicine Las Tapias will be the venue of FICAIJ and will receive regional, national and international guests, all of them dedicated to children and youth cinema and media education, among others. Moreover, La Salle School will show an exhibition of Argentinean cinema for children, made by the Mar de Plata Film Archive, in Argentina. 
Furthermore, children, young people and guests will participate as members of the child and youth jury; they will also watch films and discuss about them, in order to develop diverse activities which assure their cultural enrichment. 

We will also have the participation of important people as members of the adult jury, as well as speakers of the 1st International Conference of Audiovisual Education. Moreover, Kaori Flores (Cinescope, Mérida, Venezuela); y Adriana López (Audiovisual Media School - ULA, Mérida, Venezuela) will join the speakers group. We will also count with three young people who will join the jury team as university jury: Claudia Rosales (Mérida, Venezuela), Sergio Pellín (Barquisimeto, Venezuela) y Wulliams Castellano (Caracas, Venezuela). Invitation:

Children and young people from educational institutions from Mérida State, organized with the assistance of their professors, directors, representatives and other administrative and maintenance staff, will be able to attend the FICAIJ. 

We also extend the invitation to university students and professors involved in the fields of artistic education, linguistics and pedagogy (and any other interested institution). In addition, we invite all general public which would like to participate in our activities, and the media interested in covering the Festival. 

Sub-venue: National Cinematic Foundation:
This year, FICAIJ will have a sub-venue in Caracas (Bellas Artes Museum), in charge of the National Cinematic Foundation of Venezuelan Cinema and Audiovisual Platform. In this manner, children and young people from the capital will have access to a special program of the Festival.
